Title: GNMSS Clinical Technician
Reporting Relationship: Clinic Manager and GNMSS Providers
General Summary of Responsibilities:
Assist in performing procedures and ensuring efficient and safe patient care. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who is committed to patient comfort and the smooth operation of the clinic service.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assisting healthcare providers in patient care procedures.
- Taking and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Collecting specimens for testing and ensuring proper labeling and handling.
- Performing basic laboratory tests under the supervision of medical technologists or laboratory managers.
- Assisting with patient mobility, transfers, and positioning.
- Providing support during medical visits procedures and examinations.
- Ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of clinical equipment.
- Documenting patient information accurately and maintaining confidentiality.
- Following established protocols and safety procedures.
- Communicating effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members
- Assist in setting up and preparing for clinical visits and procedures in the clinic setting.
- Maintain and decontaminate instruments and equipment.
- Monitor and ensure the comfort and safety of patients before, during, and after visits and procedures.
- Perform basic patient care duties, including but not limited to, patient positioning and explaining procedure steps to patients.
- Manage and document procedural steps and patient data in the medical records system.
- Stock and manage supplies, ensuring all necessary materials are available and in good condition.
- Adhere to all hospital protocols and guidelines concerning hygiene, safety, and patient confidentiality.
- Assist in the training of new staff on equipment and procedure protocols.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Education |
- Required:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent

- Associate Degree
Experience/Qualifications |
- Required:
- Computer Skills/Keyboarding
Preferred:- Minimum of one year healthcare experience; Experience with current facility medical record software.
Licenses/Certifications |
- Required:
- BLS within 90 days of hire
Preferred:- Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant
