Summary

We are seeking a Corrugated Production Lead to join our team and play a key role in maintaining efficient operations and ensuring the highest standards of quality and on-time delivery in our corrugated production area. This position oversees the daily production of all corrugated-manufactured items and leads a skilled team to meet production goals aligned with our company’s vision and values.

The Production Lead also helps develop plans to expand our production capacity, ensures the professional development of production personnel, and provides input to senior management regarding equipment needs and infrastructure improvements that support our company’s long-term strategy

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement weekly production orders, ensuring alignment with the master production schedule.
  • Actively participate in production meetings, new product introductions (NPI), and post-production reviews.
  • Work with the Production Manager to develop and execute production strategies that meet company goals for quality, efficiency, and profitability.
  • Prepare and deliver regular production status reports, including inventory levels, quality updates, and production metrics.
  • Oversee the maintenance and scheduling of production equipment, identifying opportunities for upgrades or improvements.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, identifying and implementing process enhancements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with production team members, providing feedback, identifying training needs, and supporting career development.
  • Ensure all team members understand and adhere to company safety policies and procedures, maintaining a strong focus on workplace safety.
  • Lead by example in professionalism, organization, and work ethic, setting the tone for the production team.
  • Collaborate with customers as needed to resolve production-related issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with key suppliers to ensure high-quality materials and reliable service.
  • Ensure all company policies, procedures, and business ethics standards are communicated and upheld within the production team.
  • Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and production demands.
  • Work effectively and respectfully with employees across all departments.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills, including the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.

Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience in corrugated production, including operating and troubleshooting die-cutting and flexographic printing equipment.
  • Proven experience leading, training, and mentoring production teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up skills.
  • Ability to identify problems, develop solutions, and implement process improvements.

Work Environment

  • This position is primarily based on the manufacturing floor.
  • Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 3:00pm with occasional flexibility required based on production needs.
