Assistant Project Manager
About the Role :
We are seeking two motivated Assistant Project Managers to join our team in Houston, TX. These positions offer excellent growth potential within our company, particularly for those with a background in heavy civil construction or TxDOT projects. We are open to considering individuals with varying levels of experience, including :
Experienced Professionals : Construction professionals with some background (heavy civil preferred) and TxDOT experience. We also welcome applications from PEs looking to transition into project management.
Recent Graduates : We are willing to train recent graduates with a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree, starting them as Project Coordinators.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist Project Managers in overseeing project execution, ensuring timely completion within budget and quality standards.
Collaborate with field staff, subcontractors, and clients to coordinate project activities and address any issues.
Utilize project management software like Bluebeam, InEight, and Primavera P6 to track progress, manage documentation, and generate reports.
Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Participate in project meetings and provide updates on project status.
Qualifications :
Some construction background (heavy civil preferred) and TxDOT experience is a plus.
PEs looking to transition into an APM role are encouraged to apply.
Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred.
Proficiency in Bluebeam, InEight, and Primavera P6 software.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under pressure.
Benefits :
Competitive salary range : $65k-$90k (depending on experience).
Project Coordinator starting salary : $55k.
