Field Service Engineer - Americas - Direct Hire
About the Role :
As a Field Service Engineer for our client, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional technical support to our customers across the Americas region. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of online condition monitoring systems, both remotely and on-site. This is a unique opportunity to combine your technical expertise with your passion for customer service, while also expanding your knowledge of reciprocating compressor technology.
Key Responsibilities :
Technical Support : Provide expert hardware and software support for systems, both remotely and on-site. This includes troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and maintenance.
Customer Satisfaction : Deliver world-class customer service, ensuring that every client interaction is positive and productive. Strive for 100% customer satisfaction through prompt, professional, and effective communication.
Knowledge Sharing : Share your expertise in reciprocating compressor technology with customers, helping them optimize the performance and safety of their equipment.
Reporting : Prepare detailed, accurate, and timely reports for each service activity, documenting all actions taken and results achieved.
Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams to schedule assignments, share knowledge, and contribute to global projects and initiatives.
Key Tasks :
On-Site System Maintenance : Plan, prepare, and execute on-site maintenance activities, including hardware and software upgrades, troubleshooting, and sensor installation verification.
Commissioning Support : Assist with system commissioning, including Site Acceptance Testing and post-start-up support.
Documentation : Meticulously document all service actions and results, ensuring accurate records for future reference.
Customer Training : Conduct on-site and remote training sessions to educate customers on the proper use and maintenance of systems.
Continuous Improvement : Actively participate in and encourage continuous improvement activities to enhance service quality and efficiency.
Qualifications :
Education : Two-year college degree in electronics, information systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience : Minimum of three years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in refining or petrochemical industries.
Technical Skills : Strong knowledge of computer electronics, networking, troubleshooting, and test equipment. Familiarity with reciprocating or centrifugal compressor operation is a plus.
Customer Service : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers.
Language : Fluent spoken and written English. Spanish is a plus.
Travel : Willingness to travel extensively within North and South America, as well as internationally, as needed. (Up to 50%)
Other : Valid driver's license, passport (or ability to obtain one), and TWIC card (or ability to obtain one).
Additional Information :
The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and participate in a drug screening program.
