DESCRIPTION:
Review and evaluate Parts Operation and Branch Warehouse processes and facilities to identify inefficiencies and develop solutions. Assist Parts Operations Manager and Branch Manager with providing high quality product support to customers and meeting profit objectives.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years’ experience of warehousing, parts logistics and operations
- High School diploma or equivalent
- General knowledge of parts and service department operations
- Ability and willingness to function outside normal working hours
- Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English
- Ability to operate a P.C. (Windows, Excel, Word, etc.)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Travel to branches or other locations as required to perform assigned duties
Maintain a valid motor vehicle operators' license
Maintain a high degree of discretion in handling confidential/sensitive information and exercise initiative in all assigned areas, high integrity and accountability standards
Assist work team to meet the objectives of the department and the Company
Work across company to develop systematic solutions to help meet company objectives and goals
Ensure the department’s function is consistent with company goals and objectives
Support information systems department in the development/implementation of parts data systems
Formulate objectives, policies, plans, and procedures for the parts operation assuring consistency with company objectives, policies and plans
Assist the corporate warehouse to be effective in its operations and activities
Design, propose, and advise in the planning of new and the remodeling of facilities and recommend the purchase of equipment and supplies to best fit the company’s wants and needs
Remain current on developments in the market place to provide and maintain the highest level of product support to customers
Hire, train, and supervise staff
Work with staff to set aggressive professional & achievable goals to enhance the employees’ performance
Use coaching techniques to recognize employees’ accomplishments & strengths and improve other areas
Evaluate employee performance on a regular basis and prepare the related position descriptions, performance appraisals, and salary administration documents
Ensure all staff follow corporate and departmental standards and practices, and to take disciplinary action when required
Recommend to management ideas to improve the departments operating procedures or business practices and participate in and support continuous improvement of all related activities and processes
Project a positive image by interacting with fellow employees, customers, and management in a cooperative, supportive, and courteous manner; display a professional attitude, and comply with company dress code
Create and maintain good communications (verbally and in writing) and relationships with other Company departments, branches, employees, outside vendors, and customers by addressing and resolving concerns quickly
Follow all work, safety rules, and procedures
Perform other duties as necessary and assigned
