We are hiring a part-time Bookkeeping Assistant & Office Admin to join us at the largest law firm in Yavapai County, Arizona. We are a transactional law firm that has been in operation for over 70 years. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of bookkeeping duties including accounts receivable tasks, accounts payable tasks, and various reconciling, and recordkeeping activities as well as assisting the office with various administrative tasks. Ongoing training will be provided by our friendly in-house accountant, allowing opportunities for learning and growth. Previous accounting/bookkeeping experience is preferred. This is a great opportunity for someone who may be looking for a schedule with a flexible start and end time each day. If desired, this could become a full-time position for someone willing and able to take on additional duties.

Responsibilities (with training):
Accounts Receivable
- Prepare draft statements for attorney review
- Make adjustments and corrections as requested
- Finalize and send out client statements
Accounts Payable
- Record client costs to client accounts
- Record and code vendor invoices for payment
- Mail and distribute vendor payments
Other Accounting tasks
- Process new client setup information
- Monthly reconciliations of vendor accounts
- Various accounting projects such as data analysis and reporting as time allows
- Serve as backup for processing payroll
- Serve as backup for processing daily client receipts/deposits
Office Administration Tasks
- Process outgoing mail
- Take mail to the post office, drop off bank deposits, and deliver documents to various local government offices
- Various record retention activities such as scanning, filing, etc.
- Other office administrative tasks
Desired Skills:
- Previous accounting/bookkeeping experience is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer/technology
