Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Tasks:
- Maintain lawns, gardens, trees, shrubs, and other landscaping features.
- Coordinate and assign daily tasks to the ground team for efficient operation.
- Coordinate and fulfill the Grounds project plan with the Base Operations Manager.
- Train and ensure proper use and maintenance of Grounds department equipment and tools.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Supervisory Tasks:
- Lead a team of up to 10 Grounds maintenance team members, assigning tasks, providing training, and evaluating performance.
- Ensure team members adhere to safety protocols and maintain a high standard of work through safety training and weekly discussions.
- Leadership Tasks:
- Implement long-term thinking to improve the Grounds department, mitigate risk, and maintain a safe environment.
- Ensure excellence in execution by meeting or exceeding standards and being accountable for individual goals.
- Prioritize adaptability in a constantly changing business setting while maintaining kindness, respect, and professionalism.
Qualifications:
- A valid driver's license is required.
- At least one year of related experience is necessary.
- Physical ability to perform required tasks, including lifting and working in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work with a team and independently.
- Completion of the OSHA 40-hour course within six months of hire.
- A proven track record of maintaining a calm, professional demeanor in stressful situations.
