Overview
The Highlands is currently looking for a new Food Expeditor to join our team! As the Food Expeditor, you will be responsible for getting orders out quickly and efficiently to the proper tables. You will need excellent communication skills and experience in a restaurant’s hectic setting to keep up with this fast-paced environment. This is a full-time or part-time position with flexible scheduling, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the various perks that come with working at an amazing resort.

Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions (including but not limited to,):
- Ensure the efficient flow of orders from the kitchen to the servers
- Assist in the final preparation of dishes
- Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation and temperature
- Deliver orders to maintain fast service
- Inspect the premises according to quality and sanitation standards and assist in cleaning
- Transfer important information between the kitchen and the wait staff (e.g. when a customer has a particular request)
- Support other tasks as needed (e.g. telephone orders)
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by your manager
Qualifications
Required Qualifications (knowledge, skills, certifications, education, etc):
- Must possess ServSafe or obtain upon hire
- Understanding of health and safety rules in a restaurant
- Good coordination and able to multi task
- Must be 18 years of age
Preferred Qualifications (knowledge, skills, certifications, education, etc):
- Experience as a Food Expediter or other restaurant position helpful
- Dexterity in using kitchen equipment/utensils
