PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Must be available 2:30PM -6:15PM Monday through Friday.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities)
- Must be present and on-site during programing hours.
- Facilitates the development of the daily program schedule and curriculum.
- Ensures program includes activities that contribute to the academic, cognitive, social, emotional, and physical well-being and growth of each student.
- Facilitates staff meetings to review progress toward program goals, debrief activities, communicate expectations, and review program evaluations.
- Ensures that program activities are aligned to state curriculum standards and are age-appropriate.
- Ensures children and youth are always supervised by qualified adults
- Coordinates family and community engagement meetings and/or trainings that allow these stakeholders to engage in the learning of students.
- Ensures that required drills take place in accordance with the site’s policies and procedures.
Supervision
- Ensure productive and effective performance by all program staff and volunteers.
- Ensure a productive work environment by participating in assigned staff meetings.
Relationships
- Internal: Maintain daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), youth members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain instructions, and advise.
- External: Maintain contact with external community groups, schools, and members' parents.

Qualifications
Skills/Knowledge Required
- Four-year degree in related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
- Program management and supervisory experience.
- A minimum of three years of work experience in a Boys or Girls Club or similar
- Organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of
young people.
- Able to instruct, coach, and direct varied activities.
- Able to plan and implement quality programs for youth.
- Exercise independent judgment and initiative within general policy guidelines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.
- Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities.
- Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications.
- Valid Drivers License.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Physical requirements: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and policy manuals. Ability to write reports and correspondence. The ability to clearly and concisely exchange/receive ideas, facts and or technical information with others. The employee is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. The employee will occasionally need to operate a motor vehicle. Work environment: Active Club environment.
