JOB SUMMARY:
Supervises youth along with planning, implementing, and evaluating activities in program areas leading to the priority outcomes of Academic Success, Good Character and Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles in a safe and positive environment.
Must be available 2:30PM -6:15PM Monday through Friday, during the school year at Lowell Elementary School.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Implementation of lesson plans and activities.

Assist teachers in creation list of supplies for lessons and activities.

Take program and area attendance required by the 21st Century grant.

Create a safe and welcoming environment for all students.
-
Maintain daily classroom schedules and rotations
-
Supporting each child’s social, emotional, and intellectual growth and development.
-
Ensure the wellbeing and safety of children at all times.
-
Assisting students with assignments or difficult concepts
-
Maintaining communication with staff, and faculty regarding the progress of students
ADDITONAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Responsible for directing and supervising members.

Promote and stimulate interest and participation of all members in activities
-
Responsible for making sure all areas are clean and safe in the club by ensuring members are not abusing equipment, eating food, drinking, or chewing gum during activities.

Engage members in an activities
-
Planning and organizing activities with the approval of the Unit Director.
-
Conduct the program activities as planned the following week.

Recommending and requesting supplies/equipment to the Unit Director.

Administer first aid when needed.

Responsible for area cleaning, or other cleaning that Program Director assigns daily
RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: To be intentionally engaged with club members to be able to provide instruction, advice, and counsel. As well as demonstrate a daily professional standard towards Club peers, supervisors, community professionals, and volunteers.
External: Maintain a professional attitude and lifestyle with external community groups, schools, members, member’s parents, and others to assist in resolving problems and to be an example to the community of what the club represents.
Qualifications
Skills/Knowledge Required:

Prior experience with youth, preferred
-
Ability to plan, organize and implement recreational activities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
High energy level. Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature and flexible. Good reasoning abilities and sound judgement. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
