Job Description
Gates Camp is owned and operated by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver (BGCMD). Gates Camp opened in 1974 and is located west of Boulder, Colorado. Campers range in age from 6 to 18 years and are primarily from low-income families in the Metro Denver area. Gates Camp offers traditional camp activities that include archery, kayaking, handicrafts, nature games, hiking, team-building, and campfire programs.
For Summer 2025, Gates Camp will operate as a day camp Tuesdays through Thursdays with 1 Friday in June (date TBD) and 1 Friday in July (date TBD).
The successful candidate is one who loves youth and the outdoors, thrives in dynamic work environments, and is passionate about providing safe transportation to youth so that they may experience the magic of camp in the mountains. The Camp Bus Driver will be responsible for transporting youth from Denver to Ward, CO, and vice versa. This position's primary responsibilities are:
- Pick up the bus from the parking lot and arrive at the designated Club site to transport youth by 7:15 am.
- Safely transport youth from the Metro Denver area to Gates Camp in Ward, CO.
- Return youth to their Club in Denver by 4:30 pm and return the bus to the lot.
- During overnights, the Bus Driver must remain at Gates Camp in on-site housing in case of any emergency situations requiring transportation that may arise.
This is a seasonal position with a start date of May 27, 2025, and an end date of July 25, 2025.
