The Family Engagement Coordinator is responsible for providing ongoing communication and support to families and parents with children enrolled with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire.
This position will work closely with the Billing Manager to assist with welcoming families into the organization, maintaining children’s files, manage the waitlists, maintain enrollment numbers and billing information, and help answer parent questions and concerns.
These are some of the things our Family Engagement Coordinator do :
- Maintain all files for children enrolled at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire and provide guidance, communication, and support with questions and concerns brought forward by parents.
- Work closely with the Billing Manager to maintain the waitlist, enrollment numbers, and enrollment / withdraw forms.
- Follow weekly billing procedures.
- Assist with payment plans, past due accounts, collect balances owed, and providing parents with weekly, monthly and annual billing statements.
- Welcome new children and families to programs and activities, introduce them to others, explain guidelines and rules, and encourage participation.
- Assist parents and families with scholarship applications.
- Assist with managing internal and external communications and awareness of the mission, services, and activities relative to the programs of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire.
- Seek opportunities to develop collaborative relationships to enhance and expand program offerings and services.
- Maintain open communication with employees and parents including email, newsletters, group meetings, one on one, and social media.
- Place orders for needed supplies and maintain inventory.
- Responsible for all other duties and tasks as assigned by the Billing Manager.
This is what the pay and schedule looks like :
- This position starts at $17.00 / hr
- Part-time role Monday through Friday from 2 : 00pm to 6 : 30pm at the Empower Campus Learning Center.
- We prefer our staff to have consistent schedules and we are closed nights and weekends having a life outside of work is important!
We have some great trainers that can teach you a lot, but there are a few things we look for in our Family Engagement Coordinator :
- Previous experience working with children and youth or in a customer service setting is preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid CPR Certification or the ability to obtain and maintain CPR Certification within 90 days of employment is required.
- Must be organized with excellent time management skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative, prioritize duties, work independently, and as part of a team.
- Ability to remain flexible and adaptable to change.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements :
- Constant hearing, hand-eye coordination, mind-eye coordination.
- Intermittent speaking, standing, walking, kneeling, lifting, reaching, low-level activity, and squatting.
- Potential exposure to communicable diseases.
- Frequent lifting of objects under 20 pounds, and occasional lifting of items up to 75 pounds.
- Indoor with minimal outdoor work. Extreme temperatures in the summer and winter can be expected.
