POSITION/DEPARTMENT: DIRECTOR OF TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum-Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience in training and facilitation. Teaching Family Model of Care experience preferred.

SUPERVISOR/CHAIN OF COMMAND: Senior Director of Human Resources

WORKING SCHEDULE: Exempt, salaried, full-time professional position scheduled to meet the needs of BGHNC. Work and travel required.

SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage in planning, developing, implementing and coordinating training curricula for staff members in the BGHNC services and programs.
  • Take the lead role in Pre-service Training for all program employees – Teaching Family Model of Care and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.
  • As a system administrator for RELIAS (Learning Management System), assign, monitor, upload/update trainings provided, and report compliance for training plan expectations.
  • Properly track trainings for all staff.
  • Create quarterly and annual training reports for the Senior Director of Human Resources and personnel files when necessary.
  • Recommend annual training plans for all departments across the organization, incorporating compliance requirements.
  • Identify and schedule training facilitators when necessary.
  • Build necessary training courses in Relias and issue Relias training plans to all staff.
  • Coordinate/facilitate and track Teaching Family Model Practitioner evaluations and certifications.
  • Staff consultations in the cottages and on-site face-to-face observations as required for Teaching Family Model Certification.
  • Manage Teaching Family Association (TFA) accreditation annual and triennial reports and act as the organizational liaison between BGHNC and TFA.
  • Work closely with other Human Resources staff to ensure DSS Licensing requirements are met and provide training logs as required by DSS Licensing. Provide all training records/logs for personnel files and audits as requested by the Senior Director of Human Resources.
  • Assist Senior Director of Human Resources with managing operations of training department.
  • Provide ongoing monthly in-service training for residential treatment and Community Based Services staff members.
  • Provide in-service training/consultation for outside organizations in areas of expertise, as needed.
  • Update training calendar with upcoming in-person trainings as scheduled.
  • Maintain the professional look of all areas used for training.
  • Any other related duties as requested by the Senior Director of Human Resources and/or CEO.
