Job Summary:
The Director of Construction and Development Accounting provides comprehensive support the organization through Financial Leadership, Financial Reporting and Analysis, Project Management Support, Compliance and Controls.
Financial Leadership:
- Oversee all accounting functions, including budgeting, financial reporting, cost analysis, and project profitability tracking.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and industry regulations.
- Manage and monitor cash flow, ensuring adequate funding for projects.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure financial performance and projects success.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct cost analysis and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
- Monitor construction project contracts and change orders.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
Project Management Support:
- Work closely with project managers to monitor expenses and ensure projects stay within budget.
- AIA billing process
- Provide financial expertise and support to project teams.
- Participate in project meetings and provide financial insights.
Compliance and Controls:
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations in the construction industry.
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures.
- Conduct subcontractor prequalification reviews.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
- Construction industry experience
