What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Development Professional position at Boys & Girls Club of Fremont County?
Boys & Girls Club of Fremont County is a non-profit serving youth after school and throughout the summer. We currently have two Club sites operating in Canon City, CO.
We are seeking a fun, engaging person to join our team as the Program Coordinator for our Canon K-7 Club. We provide valuable training for this position.
Youth Development Professionals work directly with youth, facilitating their day, programs, and activities. YDPs are responsible for planning their programs and activities, helping creating a safe, positive environment, teaching and modeling positive behaviors, following all Club policies and procedures, completing reports and other projects as assigned.
Qualifications include: experience working with youth, ages 5-18; high school diploma or GED; valid driver's license; pass background check; values inclusion and diversity
Other Skills: communication, patience, enthusiasm, computers and writing, teaching
The schedule for this position will be Monday-Friday usually until 6 pm. Hours will vary depending on the day. Approximately 25 to 29 hours each week. This is a temporary summer position with the possibility of becoming permanent.
