Description
This position is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the organization in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by the Financial Accounting Standards Board, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and other regulatory and advisory organizations and in accordance with financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the nonprofit environment. These responsibilities include financial management, financial procedure development and implementation, management of accounting systems, budget planning and implementation, risk management, short and long term forecasting, and bank relations. In addition, this position is responsible for the supervision of assigned managers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA certification preferred. Graduate-level degree preferred.
- At least 8-10 years of progressively responsible work experience managing the accounting functions in a nonprofit agency, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, direct and coordinate operations in budget management.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong technical, analytical, judgment, operational and big financial picture focus
- Possession of a valid state driver license.
