Summary
We are seeking dedicated Summer Camp Instructors to join our team at the Boys & Girls Club of McAllen. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a fun, safe, and educational environment for our youth members during camp sessions. Your contributions will play a vital role in enriching the lives of children and helping them develop essential skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging camp activities that promote learning and fun.
- Supervise campers to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
- Foster positive relationships with campers, encouraging their personal growth.
- Manage behavior effectively to maintain a supportive environment.
- Assist in organizing sports, arts, and educational programs.
- Provide guidance and support to campers in various activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding camper progress and needs.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or youth in an educational or recreational setting.
- Strong behavior management skills to create a positive camp environment.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles is preferred.
- First Aid certification is highly desirable.
- Ability to engage children through various activities such as sports or arts.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with campers, parents, and staff.
