We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and community-focused Community Development Director to join our team for the new Boys & Girls Club in Marshfield. This role is integral in developing and executing local fundraising initiatives, community engagement strategies, and marketing efforts to ensure the success of the Club's programs and initiatives.
The Community Development Director will oversee all aspects of community fundraising, special events, marketing, donor relations, and volunteer engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in non-profit fundraising and marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy:

Develop and implement a comprehensive community development and marketing strategy for the Marshfield Club, aligned with the organization’s mission and goals.

Lead local fundraising and marketing efforts, ensuring they align with regional and national strategies.

Work closely with the Director of Resource Development & Marketing to integrate Marshfield’s efforts into the broader organizational plan.

Fundraising & Revenue Generation:

Lead and manage fundraising initiatives for Marshfield, including annual giving, corporate sponsorships, and local foundation grants.

Identify new fundraising opportunities and cultivate relationships with local businesses, donors, and stakeholders.

Develop strategies to diversify revenue streams within the Marshfield community.

Special Events & Community Engagement:

Plan and execute fundraising and community events, ensuring they meet or exceed budgeted goals (e.g., annual campaigns, local galas, volunteer appreciation events).

Support in-Club events and build community engagement strategies to strengthen relationships and foster local support.

Develop strategies to recruit, engage, and retain event volunteers, ensuring their active involvement and satisfaction.

Donor Communications & Stewardship:

Develop and execute donor communication plans, tailored to the Marshfield community, including regular updates, impact reports, and personalized correspondence.

Oversee donor stewardship efforts, ensuring timely and personalized acknowledgments.

Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual and business donors in Marshfield.

Marketing & Communications:

Develop and execute local marketing campaigns to increase visibility and support for the Marshfield Boys & Girls Club.

Ensure consistent and effective messaging across all communication channels, including digital, print, and social media platforms.

Build relationships with local media outlets and represent the Club in community and media engagements.

Grant Writing & Reporting:

Identify and pursue local funding opportunities, including grants from businesses, foundations, and governmental sources.

Write, submit, and track grant proposals, collaborating with the program team to ensure high-quality, impactful submissions.

Maintain relationships with funders and ensure timely reporting on grant deliverables.

Engagement & Outreach:

Foster strong partnerships with local businesses, schools, and organizations to enhance visibility and support for the Club.

Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and outreach initiatives to promote the Boys & Girls Club’s mission.

Collaboration and Reporting:

Provide regular reports on fundraising and marketing activities, metrics, and outcomes to the Director of Resource Development & Marketing.

Collaborate with other departments and the Marshfield leadership team to align local strategies with organizational goals.

Participate in Marshfield Advisory Board meetings and provide updates on Marshfield’s development efforts.

Budget Management:

Develop and manage the Marshfield Club’s fundraising and marketing budget.

Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effective use of resources for local campaigns and events.
Qualifications
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Non-Profit Management, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in community development, fundraising, and marketing, preferably within the non-profit sector.

Proven success in leading fundraising campaigns and events.

Strong writing and reporting skills.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience in public speaking and media relations.

Proficiency in digital marketing tools, donor management software (e.g., MyClubHub, DonorPerfect, Raiser’s Edge), and social media platforms.

Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with donors, volunteers, community groups, and stakeholders.

Knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.

Salary : $55,000 - $62,000
