The VISTA member will expand and strengthen our organizational capacity to serve the diverse youth of Stamford by securing additional funding, strengthening donor relationships, fostering strategic partnerships, increasing increase youth and families' access to resources and opportunities. The role provides hands-on experience in areas such as nonprofit communications, digital content creatin and management, fundraising, grant writing, strategic partnerships, and ultimately - increasing increase youth and families' access to resources and opportunities. Partnerships with local schools and organizations offer opportunities to build relationships with community leaders and expand professional networks. Project Start Day is March 10, 2025 VISTA members will be required to pass the background check.
Member Duties : Members will: Identify potential individual donors, grant opportunities, corporate sponsors, and private foundations. Develop and implement donor recognition programs, including acknowledgment letters, receipts, and donors’ communications Create content for donors/funders applications, social media, newsletters, etc. Organize and participate in fundraising campaigns and events, including our signature events, such as our gala, City Chic, 5K race, and ICON International Golf Tournament Participate in the development team’s day-to-day operations, such as team meetings and collaborations, donor stewardship, and data management. Build and strengthen relationships with community stakeholders, local businesses, and partner organizations Organize outreach events to raise awareness and promote the organization’s programs and services. Develop impact stories, create reports and updates for donors and public, Create content for newsletters, BGCS website and social media.
