BGCS serves 500 children K to 12 daily. Our mission is to enable all youth to achieve their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. The VISTA member will expand and strengthen our organizational capacity to serve the diverse youth of Stamford by securing additional funding, strengthening donor relationships, fostering strategic partnerships, increasing increase youth and families' access to resources and opportunities. The role provides hands-on experience in areas such as nonprofit communications, digital content creatin and management, fundraising, grant writing, strategic partnerships, and ultimately - increasing increase youth and families' access to resources and opportunities. Partnerships with local schools and organizations offer opportunities to build relationships with community leaders and expand professional networks. Project Start Day is March 10, 2025 VISTA members will be required to pass the background check.
Member Duties : Members will: Conduct outreach activities to promote volunteer opportunities Provide volunteer orientation and training and collect volunteers’ feedback Organize and help implement volunteer recognition events Participate in coordination of projects and initiatives with community partners. Design and implement evaluation frameworks and develop systems to collect, analyze, and report data that showcases BGCS’s organizational impact. Participate in monitoring and evaluate the effectiveness of BGCS programs Participate in post-award grant management including compliance, data collection and performance tracking Assist in preparation of programmatic reports as required by funders, including impact data.
