The Boys & Girls Club of the Foothills is providing a safe, fun, structured after-school program for young people in TK-5th grade to safely engage in social/emotional learning and enrichment activities designed to meet their wide range of needs.
Primary responsibilities:
- Ensure our young people are safe,
- Build transformative relationships with them
- Support young people in their academic needs
- Plan/implement enriching programs/activities for them
Experience preferred, but we are equally willing to train.
All qualified candidates will be screened and fingerprint background checked before being hired.
Hours:
- Shift up to 5.5 hour per/day
- Monday - Friday
This Job will start as soon as your interview and background check are processed and cleared by the BGCF hiring panel.
The following are the Membership Assistant job responsibilities:
- Assist with member check-in
- Take in new and returning membership and monthly payments for club programs
- Keep track of daily attendance
- Logging program attendance and/or other program outcome measurements.
- Ensure timely transitions of children by controlling front desk area
- Call for members when parents arrive.
- Greet parents and Kids as they arrive to the club
- Answer phones and check voice mail
- Enforce appropriate disciplinary procedures when necessary
- Maintain a clean, safe, and clear office area
- Organize membership documents and make sure all current documents are filed in a timely manor
- Help Director of Operations and/or Site Director with any other administrative & program tasks
The qualifications for this position include:
- Some college preferred
- Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft office programs.
- Strong administrative and office skills
- Passion for youth development
- Willingness to work with a variety of youth ages and backgrounds
- Positive attitude and hard work
- Understanding of Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) principles
- Reliable transportation
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs
- Punctuality
