Description
At the Early Learning Centers of Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows, you can :
Build a great future for your community by working with the infants, toddlers, and preschoolers who need you most.
Teach children to walk, talk, count, and read letters by learning about conflict management and yourself through Conscious Discipline.
Develop yourself from entry level into a caring and knowledgeable early childhood provider.
As either a full-time or part-time teacher-in-training at our licensed Early Learning Centers, you will learn to :
- Check children in and out
- Give bottles to infants and feed solid foods as age appropriate
- Change diapers
- Put infants, toddlers, and preschoolers to sleep at nap time
- Soothe infants by singing to and cuddling them
- Supervise and play with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers on the floor
- Plan lessons for toddlers and preschoolers
- Lead toddler and preschooler lessons
- Understand your emotions and children's emotions through Conscious Discipline
- Ensure play, sleep and changing areas are kept clean
- Clean toys at end of day
All in groups of the following sizes :
Full-Time Shift : 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday
Part-Time Shift : 12 : 30pm to 6pm Monday through Friday
