Description
At the Early Learning Centers of Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows, we need staff to work Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 9:30am or 12:30pm to 6pm.
As either a part-time child care partner, you will learn to:
- Check children in and out
- Give bottles to infants and feed solid foods as age appropriate
- Change diapers
- Put infants, toddlers, and preschoolers to sleep at nap time
- Soothe infants by singing to and cuddling them
- Supervise and play with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers on the floor
- Plan lessons for toddlers and preschoolers
- Lead toddler and preschooler lessons
- Understand your emotions and children's emotions through Conscious Discipline
- Ensure play, sleep and changing areas are kept clean
- Clean toys at end of day
All in groups of the following sizes:
- Four (4) 0-9-month-olds
- Six (6) 9-18-month-olds
- Six (6) 18-24-month-olds
- Nine (9) 2-year-olds
- Twelve (12) 3-year-olds
- Thirteen (13) 4/5-year-olds
Location: Employees are hired to work at one location, but we have different needs at each location, so applicants are asked to be willing and able to accept an offer at any of our five area locations.
Part-Time Shifts: Must work the same shift Monday through Friday: 6:30am to 9:30am, 7am to 12:30pm, or 12:30pm to 6pm

Qualifications
Qualifications for PT child care partner:

- Able to pass drug test (for drugs illegal in the state of Nevada)
- Able to pass background check through the state
- Able to complete courses to be licensed for Child Care in Nevada within 90 days
- Able to provide references
- Available Monday through Friday
- Meet state of Nevada requirements, including professional development outside of your regular shift
- Great speaking and customer service skills to communicate effectively with parents; English required; bilingual preferred
- Willing to work with ages from 6 weeks to 5 years
- Able to lift up to 30 pounds
- Extended periods of time sitting on the floor
Education:
- High school or GED (Preferred)
