TITLE : Sr. Site Coordinator
DEPARTMENT : Program
REPORTS TO : Director of Operations
PRIMARY FUNCTION :
The SrSite Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of a broad range of programs for youth between the ages of 6-17 years within a designated Club including programs in the area of Character & Leadership Development, Education & Career Development, Health & Life Skills, The Arts, and Sports, Fitness & Recreation. The Site Coordinator is responsible for recordkeeping, preparing monthly reports and providing leadership and supervision to program and volunteer staff.

Prepare Youth for Success
- Plan and oversee the administration of designated Clubhouse programs and activities that support Youth.
Development Outcomes
Establish Clubhouse program objectives consistent with organizational goals and mission.Oversee the provision of day-to-day program activities by established standards and goals.Ensure that members are encouraged to participate in a variety of program areas / activities and receive instruction and constructive feedback to develop skills in program areas.Demonstrate leadership to assure the conduct, safety, and development of members.Program Development & Implementation
Establish and maintain goals and settings that ensure the health and safety of staff.Ensure that site staff understand and effectively communicate the standards of the program; that they ensure program areas are safe, well ventilated and well-lit; and that equipment is maintained in good working condition.Ensure the evaluation of BGC programs continually and ensure programs / activities respond to the needs and address their gender and cultural diversity.Control clubhouse program and activity expenditures within the approved budget.Supervision
Allocate and monitor work assigned to program volunteers and staff, providing ongoing feedback and regular appraisal. Identify and support training and development opportunities for assigned volunteers and staff.Oversee proper record keeping and reporting including activities and events conducted breakdowns daily participation figures, notable achievements, and any problems / issues.Marketing and Public Relations
Develop partnerships with parents, community leaders and organizations.Increase the visibility of BGC programs via posting of announcements of upcoming events and the dissemination of timely information for the development of advertising and promotion through mailings, fliers and media releases.Develop and maintain public relations to increase the visibility of programs, services and activities within the community.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
Will oversee and work with staff on special events to carry out programs in all departments (i.e. Keystone, Youth of the Year and Awards Programs), and / or participate in the implementation of other unit activities as necessaryMust have a good driving record due to being required to drive a Club van periodically.Exercise authority in problems relating to members; utilize BGCRR guidance and discipline plan.Assume other duties as assigned.RELATIONSHIPS :
Internal : Maintains close, daily contact with staff to interpret and explain the organizational mission, program objectives and standards, discuss issues, and provide / receive information. Has regular contact with staff as needed to discipline, advise, and counsel.
External : Maintains contact with external community groups, schools, members’ parents and others to assist in resolving problems.
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED :
AA or BA preferred, however, acceptable with 48 or more accredited college units.A minimum of one-year of work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar. organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people, or equivalent experience.Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and the recruitment and retention of key personnel.Strong communication skills, both oral and written.Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.Interpersonal skill development and maintenance.Ability to recruit, train, supervise, and motivate staff.Ability to deal effectively with members including discipline problems.Working knowledge of budget preparation, control, and management.Demonstrated the ability to work with young people, parents and community leaders.Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.Demonstrated organizational, staff and project management abilities.Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications (will provide training).Mandatory Reporting Training (will be provided).PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT :
