JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Coordinator to support our Human Resources department in various administrative and operational tasks. The HR Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring smooth HR processes, assisting with recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and maintaining HR records. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for people operations and non-profit.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Recruiting & New Hire Screening
- Assist with recruitment and interview process including job posting, interview coordination, and candidate communication.
- Schedule screenings and interviews as needed for all new part-time hires.
- Schedule new hires for TCIE orientation.
Screening & Compliance
- Conduct all candidate pre-screenings including background checks, fingerprinting, drug screening, mandated reporter certification, and others as needed.
- Verify employment eligibility through “E-verify” for new employees.
- Complete Form I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and ensures compliance.
- Conducts all candidate pre-screenings including background checks, fingerprinting, drug screening, and mandated reporter training.
- Assist with tracking of mandated reporter training and other annual compliance tracking.
Employee Onboarding
- Review new hire paperwork and act as a liaison between the hiring manager and candidate to ensure everything is collected for needed documents/information.
- Update content for and assemble new hire orientation packets for full and part-time staff.
- Process new hires and assist with new hire checklist items (order shirts, request email addresses with IT).
- Upload documents into appropriate folders within the HRIS.
- Conduct or assist with new hire orientation virtually and/or in-person.
Administration
- Coordinate training sessions and employee development programs.
- Assist with special HR projects and other duties as assigned.
- Maintains company organization charts.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, including event planning and recognition programs.
- Maintains, updates, and edits HR SharePoint site.
- Prepare HR reports and analytics as needed.
All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
Experience
- Two or more years of administrative experience, preferably in Human Resources. Must be detail-oriented.
- Proficient with ADP Workforce Now or the ability to quickly learn similar applicant tracking systems applications.
- Demonstrated ability to keep and safeguard confidential information and documents.
Skills

- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
- Knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements.

- Proficiency in HR software (HRIS), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and applicant tracking systems (ATS) is a plus.
ENVIRONMENT & WORKING CONDITIONS:
Normal internal office environment with some need to travel to club locations within the Metro Atlanta area. Frequent internal contact with employees throughout the organization is required. Frequent communication with outside contacts is required. The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time and not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
