Major responsibilities include:
Program Development and Implementation:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive program plan that aligns with the Boys and Girls Club mission and meets the unique needs and interests of teenagers.
- Create a safe and inclusive environment that encourages personal growth, character development, and positive relationships among club members.
- Coordinate and oversee the delivery of a variety of programs and activities, including educational, recreational, leadership development, and career exploration opportunities.
- Ensure programs are engaging, age-appropriate, and designed to promote the physical, intellectual, and emotional well-being of teens.
Youth Mentoring
- Find creative ways to mentor teens and connect them to wraparound services
- Engage them in the different parts of the building to help them in a comprehensive manner
Staff Management and Development:
- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of qualified staff members and volunteers to deliver high-quality programs and services.
- Provide guidance, support, and ongoing professional development opportunities to staff members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any performance issues in a timely and constructive manner.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that promotes teamwork and effective communication among staff members.
Community Engagement and Partnerships:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, schools, parents, and other stakeholders to enhance program offerings and expand resources for the Teen Center.
- Act as an ambassador for the Teen Center and actively promote its mission, programs, and positive impact within the local community.
- Seek opportunities for collaboration and partnerships with community leaders and organizations to further support the needs of teenagers in the area and in a way that maximizes our space and facilities
Financial Management and Resource Allocation:
- Develop and manage the Teen Center's budget, ensuring responsible fiscal practices and effective resource allocation.
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities through grants, donations, and fundraising activities to support the sustainability and growth of the Teen Center.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, program attendance, and other relevant data, providing regular reports to the Boys and Girls Club management and board.
Safety and Risk Management:
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, emergency procedures, and risk management practices to ensure the well-being and security of club members, staff, and visitors.
- Monitor facility maintenance needs, address any safety concerns promptly, and collaborate with appropriate personnel to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Education, Social Work, Youth Development) is preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with teenagers in a youth development setting, preferably within a Boys and Girls Club or similar organization.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and connect with teenagers, parents, staff, and community stakeholders.
- Demonstrated knowledge of youth development principles, best practices, and program design.
- Experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in budget management and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with community resources and the ability to establish and maintain partnerships with local organizations.
- First Aid and CPR certifications, or willingness to obtain them.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check

Salary Range:
Commensurate with experience.
