Responsibilities
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet organizational goals.
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors at all levels, with a focus on major gifts ($5,000 ).
- Manage a portfolio of donors and prospects, developing personalized solicitation strategies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and grant-making organizations.
- Plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to raise awareness of fundraising initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of donations and donor communications using Raiser's Edge.
- Bachelor’s degree in fundraising, non-profit management, business, marketing, sales, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of direct fundraising experience within the non-profit sector, including experience with donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Experience in business development or sales may be considered in addition to fundraising experience.
- Proven track record of successfully identifying, cultivating, and soliciting individual and corporate donors, including experience with major gifts.
- Strong understanding of fundraising principles, ethics, and best practices within the non-profit sector.
- Excellent cultivation, presentation, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with diverse stakeholders, including donors, board members, and community partners.
- Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Raiser's Edge, Zoho) to manage donor information, track interactions, and analyze fundraising performance. Experience with Raiser's Edge is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed fundraising goals and revenue targets.
- Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset, a focus on results, and experience in developing and implementing fundraising plans.
- Experience with grant writing and/or grant management is a plus.
- Knowledge of the local philanthropic landscape and experience working with Austin-area donors is a plus.
