Job Summary:
Coordinate in planning, organizing, and implementing program/activities, in relation to sport, fitness and recreation, for members 6-14.
Responsibilities:
· Assist with directing structured sports, fitness and recreation programming for the Club for members 6-18 years.
· Organize assigned programs and activities for sports, fitness and recreation programming.
· Provides support to the Club sites with outcome goals and objectives based on needs of members, families, and community.
· Establishes and maintains a rapport with Club staff and parents.
· Have the ability to enforce Boys & Girls Club rules and policies in a fair manner.
· Tracks member participation in assigned program areas.
· Assists as directed with individual sports programs such as: hockey, soccer, and basketball.
· Provides instruction and engages with members with programming within the Core Program area.
· Works with both staff and volunteers to support the Club’s sports, fitness and recreation programs.
· Encourages emotional, social, and educational growth of individual members.
· Any other tasks assigned.
Education Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalency.
· Associate or Bachelor Degree in Childhood Education, Secondary Education, Recreation or related field preferred.
Experience Requirements:
· Experience in youth program implementation.
· Experience directly related to youth and youth programming.
· Experience or course of study in elementary or secondary education, child development or child psychology or recreation preferred.
Skills:
· Enjoys working with youth ages 6-18 years old.
· Demonstrated examples of working with youth.
· Group management.
· Ability to take direction.
· Highly organized with attention to detail.
· Ability to relate effectively with diverse population.
· Good communication skills, both oral and written.
· Ability to create, market and implement programs for youth.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
