- BGV is seeking a Seasonal Snow Removal person to work on a Per Diem basis with a high school diploma and valid driver’s license.
- Experience in grounds-keeping a must
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Maintenance-Groundskeeper performs general maintenance and upkeep of Agency buildings, grounds, vehicles and equipment. This also includes landscaping, as assigned. This employee shall keep all equipment in clean, orderly and functional condition. Facilities team members provide assistance to other staff and visitors, as necessary. This role is considered and classified as “essential” to the operations of the Agency.
- Performs seasonal landscaping duties related to all facets of grounds keeping, ensuring all areas are free from debris, snow and ice
- Use and maintain various hand tools and gas-powered tools to mow and maintain grounds, rake leaves, trim bushes and trees, plant flowers and shrubbery, remove dead plants and weeds, water and fertilize vegetation, and get grounds ready for seasonal changes
- Maintain mowers and all snow equipment
- Reports completed work orders to Manager/Director
- Sets up and tears down chairs, tables and equipment in meeting rooms and function rooms
- Picks up and delivers supplies and materials to rooms, as needed
- Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures
- High School Diploma is required.
- Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record.
PURPOSE/FUNCTION OF PROGRAM:
Boys & Girls Village offers an array of services for children and their families. The services range from highly structured sub-acute services on campus to intensive intervention and care in the home and community. The function of the Facilities Department is to provide and maintain resources necessary for the Agency to run effectively and efficiently.
