What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groundskeeper position at Cheyenne's Early Learning Center?
Summary
As a Groundskeeper, you play a key role in making CELC a clean place to learn and grow. The
Groundskeeper is a member of the Maintenance Staff working directly with the Maintenance Supervisor
and/or the Office Staff to provide world class service to the families we serve. The Groundskeeper is a
?hands on? professional whose goal is to make sure everything is working right every day!
Duties
The Groundskeeper of CELC will be responsible for maintaining the curb appeal of the center grounds. All other
duties will be assigned according to their urgency, including but not limited to the following:
? Provide world class customer service by addressing the concerns and maintenance needs of our
families and staff in a friendly and professional manner;
? Maintain the overall upkeep of the property landscape and the exterior image which includes
cleaning of the driveways, parking lots, curbs, dumpster areas, exterior hallways, or any other
public areas; maintenance of property flowerbeds, plants, and grass areas; snow removal; and
playground area maintenance.
? Inspect the property each morning and picking up any trash, debris, or littering on the grounds.
This includes the perimeter of the property which can include public property in front of the
community;
? Keep center clean: pick up trash, sweep floors, check all bathrooms to make sure they have toilet
paper, paper towels, and soap in dispensers;
? Replace light bulbs in common areas as needed;
? Clean playground area (as needed): hose down area, pick up trash, straighten equipment;
? Perform light painting duties as directed;
? May be called upon to the maintenance staff on other projects as needed.
? Perform any other related duties as required or assigned; and
? Assist the Owner/Director as requested.
Requirements
? High School diploma or equivalent
? 1 years working as Groundskeeper or similar position
