Summer is almost here, and the City of Bozeman is now recruiting for Short Term Workers for the Parks Division! Want to get outdoors and into the community this summer? This position could be perfect for you! Join our team and spend the summer maintaining our beautiful parks throughout the City, keeping local trails and facilities clean and clear, and enjoying the fresh air and sunshine! We are looking for candidates who can commit to the entire season.Ideally, employees in this position will start working at the end of April or early May and stay on through the end of August. Calling all early birds! The schedule for this position will be 4/10s: 6am to 4:30pm with a 3-day weekend every weekend!PARKS POSITION SUMMARY: A successful employee in this position should be flexible, as duties are assigned as needed and often change frequently. Parks Short-Term Workers maintain the City parks, keeping them in a clean and safe condition for public use. Duties may include park beautification, mowing, weed removal, trash pickup/receptacle maintenance, minor facility repairs, daily facility maintenance, irrigation repair, playground maintenance, and/or trail maintenance.Bargaining Unit: Not RepresentedFair Labor Standards Act Status: Non-ExemptLength of Season: Ideally April 28th through August 24thAssignment Details: Not to exceed 90 working days or 520 hours, whichever comes firstAPPLICATION TIMELINE: Interviews will be held the week of March 24thThe position will begin working April 28th at the earliest
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
High School Diploma or GED;Must be of legal age to perform the duties of the position (18 years or older);All employees must possess a valid Class D driver's license;Some experience is desired, but not required.
