- Analyze medical record documentation for completeness and accuracy, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Communicate documentation deficiencies with providers and People Leaders, providing education on required documentation elements as needed.
- Serve as a resource for medical record documentation standards, content, and design, supporting process improvement projects and responding to department inquiries.
- Assist providers with documentation correction processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Collaborate with the HIM Analysis Coordinator to report trends of documentation deficiencies and support quality improvement initiatives.
- Associate's degree in Health Information Management required.
- At least one of the following credentials strongly preferred: RHIA, RHIT.
- OR two years of medical record analysis experience.
- Successful completion of background check, including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint check.
- Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.
- Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift.
- Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods.
