What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hydroponic Lead Grower position at BPM Farms?
BPM Farms is seeking passionate, driven and hard-working individuals to work in our Hydroponic herb growing farm. We're a producer of fresh basil with distribution throughout the Kansas City metropolitan region. We're expanding our growing operation and are looking to fill the position of Lead Grower.
You'll work alongside our production and management team. We're a unique operation that includes a number of disabled veterans, who bring their love for farming to each day's operations. Our team's passion for quality is core of brand that's well established with the largest and most progressive supermarket chains in Missouri and Kansas.
Prior experience in the natural and organic food industry is a plus but not required. If you're currently in field or nursery work, we'll provide the training to learn hydroponic growing. What You’ll Do
- Seeding duties
- Transplanting seedlings based on quality standards
- Managing plant growth and health
- Identify and cull plants with pests or disease
- Harvest mature plants
- Move and rearrange growing equipment as needed
- Assist with the loading and unloading of greenhouse materials
- Compost unused plants
- Assist with daily cleaning of production areas, equipment, and supplies
- Assist with periodic cleaning of common areas in facility
- Implement and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs), Company food safety policies, Company employee safety policies, and Sanitation Standards Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
Additional duties as assigned

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
