Job Description: BPR Consulting Group, a leading provider of building department services, is seeking an experienced Building Official/Senior Building Inspector to join our team. This individual will be responsible for managing building department operations for one of our key clients in the San Joaquin County area.
This role requires strong knowledge of building codes, policies, and procedures, as well as excellent communication skills to consult with engineers, architects, developers, contractors, and the public on construction and building code issues. The successful candidate will also plan review minor projects for residential and commercial buildings, perform field inspections, and issue Certificates of Occupancy for completed projects.
The ideal candidate will have five (5) plus years of experience as a building official or building inspector for a local or state fire or building department or equivalent related experience. Advanced knowledge of California Building Codes and ICC Certified Building Official certification are highly desirable.
