About the Role
">We are seeking a highly experienced and certified building official to join our team as a Senior Building Inspector. In this role, you will be responsible for managing building department operations for an assigned client agency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage building department operations, including plan review and construction processes
- Apply knowledge of building codes, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance
- Consult with engineers, architects, developers, contractors, and the public on construction and building code issues
- Perform field inspections on all phases of residential and commercial construction
Requirements:
- Five (5) plus years as a building official or building inspector for a local or state fire or building department
- Must possess knowledge and application of plan review and construction processes
- Experience in the interpretation and application of building codes
- Advanced knowledge of California Building Codes
- Good driving record
Certifications:
- ICC Certified Building Official certification
- ICC Inspector certifications preferred
- ICC Plan Review certifications preferred
