About the Role: We are seeking a seasoned Senior Building Inspector/Building Official to manage building department operations for one of our esteemed clients in the San Joaquin County area. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with building codes, policies, and procedures through effective planning, inspection, and enforcement activities.
This position requires a deep understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry best practices. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including engineers, architects, developers, contractors, and the public, to resolve construction and building code-related issues. Additionally, you will oversee plan review, field inspections, and issue Certificates of Occupancy for completed projects.
The successful candidate will possess at least five (5) years of experience in a similar role, preferably with a local or state fire or building department. A strong background in California Building Codes and ICC Certified Building Official certification are highly valued.
