As a Building Official/Senior Building Inspector, you will be responsible for managing Building Department operations for an assigned client agency. This includes applying knowledge of building codes, policies, and procedures to day-to-day functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Building Department operations for an assigned client agency.
- Apply knowledge of building codes, policies, and procedures to the day-to-day functions of a building department.
- Consult with engineers, architects, developers, contractors, and the public on construction and building code issues, respond to questions regarding codes and regulations.
- Plan review of minor projects for residential and commercial buildings, alterations, remodels, and additions.
- Perform field inspections on all phases of residential and commercial construction.
- Issue Certificates of Occupancy for completed projects.
- Create and maintain reports, plan review files, and inspection logs for all building projects.
- Maintain clients' permitting database.
- Perform all work consistent with BPR's and Clients' policies and procedures.
- Provide all services in an efficient, proactive, and client-focused manner.
