Job Description
This position requires an individual who can apply knowledge of building codes, policies, and procedures to the day-to-day functions of a building department.
Responsibilities include consulting with engineers, architects, developers, contractors, and the public on construction and building code issues.
Essential Duties
- Apply knowledge of building codes, policies, and procedures to the day-to-day functions of a building department.
- Consults with engineers, architects, developers, contractors, and the public on construction and building code issues.
Requirements and Certifications
- Five plus years as a building official or building inspector for a local or state fire or building department or equivalent related experience.
- Must possess knowledge and application of plan review and construction processes.
- Experience in the interpretation and application of building codes.
- Advanced knowledge of California Building Codes.
Compensation and Benefits
BPR offers a competitive wages and has a strong benefit offering including automobile allowance.
$45 - $60 an hour.
