Job Description
This position requires an individual who can manage building department operations for an assigned client agency.
Responsibilities include applying knowledge of building codes, policies, and procedures to the day-to-day functions of a building department.
The ideal candidate will have experience consulting with engineers, architects, developers, contractors, and the public on construction and building code issues.
Essential Duties
- Manage building department operations for an assigned client agency.
- Apply knowledge of building codes, policies, and procedures to the day-to-day functions of a building department.
Requirements and Certifications
- Five plus years as a building official or building inspector for a local or state fire or building department or equivalent related experience.
- Must possess knowledge and application of plan review and construction processes.
- Experience in the interpretation and application of building codes.
- Advanced knowledge of California Building Codes.
Compensation and Benefits
BPR offers a competitive wages and has a strong benefit offering including automobile allowance.
$45 - $60 an hour.
