Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our construction company. Experience in construction is a must. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounting process, handling payables/receivables, project contractracts, payroll, managing the office, to name a few. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts, technical accounting skills, and proficiency in accounting software such as Quickbooks.
Duties
- Maintain accurate financial records by recording journal entries and managing accounts payable and receivable.
- Manage the office
- Handle project contracts, paperwork, etc.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Perform reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Utilize accounting software such as Quickbooks for efficient bookkeeping practices.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities by providing relevant financial data.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and explanations as needed.
- Stay updated on governmental accounting standards and public accounting practices to ensure compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role in accounting or finance.
- Experience with a construction company.
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts, governmental accounting, and technical accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Quickbooks.
- Experience with journal entries, payroll processing, and financial report writing is essential.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
