What are the responsibilities and job description for the Analyst, Payroll position at Bracco Diagnostics, Inc./E-Z-EM Canada?
Manage the payroll function for multiple U.S. BRACCO entity employee populations. Position is responsible for overall payroll administration and payroll processing. This position is the first point of contact for all payroll related questions and issues.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
HR Systems and Payroll Management
Manage bi-weekly & semi-monthly, multi-state payrolls, including garnishments, benefits and taxes to employees consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws
Critically review and analyze current payroll, benefits and tax procedures in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practice operations
Audit W-4s, payroll balance sheets, 401k deductions/company matches, YTD earnings, etc.
Communicate actively with department heads, administrators and employees as necessary to review and ensure accurate payroll processing and reporting
Work with various HR team members in aligning and implementing payroll solutions to ensure accurate and efficient benefits data processing (vendor file feeds, benefit deductions, etc.)
Manage regular preparation of management reports, including monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.)
Assist HR team with various projects.
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
Minimum
5 Years experience managing payroll function
Detail-oriented
Experience with multi-state payroll processing and tax reporting
High level of computer proficiency including MS Word and Excel
Effective technical writing skills
Demonstrated commitment to quality and continuous improvement activities
High degree of organization skills and high attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
ADP, Ceridian Dayforce &/or Workday experience
Preferred:
4 year degree or equivalent experience
