Just 4 Kids Health is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist who has a desire to be part of an amazing billing team. The Medical Billing Specialist assists with the billing process and is an essential part of protecting the company’s revenue. This includes processing patients’ medical billings, calculating charges and assigning specific codes, tracking and collecting payments and ensuring that all invoices are error free and paid in full.
The required duties and responsibilities of the Medical Billing Specialist are as follows:

Verifies patient information to ensure it is complete/accurate and updates patient information regularly to reflect changes in their demographics.

Ensures that all accounts are accurate and that patients are billed accordingly.

Utilizes medical codes to interpret patient medical claims and submits records to insurance companies as requested.

Assists patients by following up on medical claims, as well as appealing unpaid claims.

Ensures that formal authorization documentation for patient care is in place prior to administration of care.

Creates patient invoicing by recording services provided to patients and confirming them with medical providers.

Collects timely payments or develops payment solutions for clients facing financial hardships.

Facilitates the resolution of all issues concerning billing by assessing contracts with third party payers; explains insurance packages to patients and negotiates settlements.

Maintains record of services received by patients in the clinic by entering data into the computer system and making them available when needed.

Ensures that patients’ files are kept safe and secure.
Qualifications
The preferred qualifications of the Medical Billing Specialist are as follows:

2 years or more medical billing experience

Firm understanding of medical insurance practice

Strong knowledge of arithmetic to be able to perform simple calculations

Possess strong interpersonal skills for developing good relationship with patients and staff effectively.
Salary : $16 - $25
