Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing medical claims and ensuring timely reimbursement. This is a vital role in our organization, as you will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial health of our medical practice.
Responsibilities:
- Review and verify medical documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-9, ICD-10) to diagnoses and procedures
- Submit electronic and paper claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve billing issues
- Process payments from insurance companies and patients
- Maintain patient billing records and update information as needed
- Collaborate with the medical office staff to ensure accurate billing practices
- Stay up-to-date with changes in medical billing regulations and coding systems
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of medical billing processes, systems, and terminology
- Proficiency in ICD-10 coding
- procedures and medical records management
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
