Scheduler

Bradford Hills Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and organized Scheduler to manage and coordinate staff schedules within our nursing home. This role ensures proper staffing levels to meet resident care needs while maintaining compliance with facility policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.

• Coordinate shift changes, vacation requests, and call-offs while minimizing disruptions to patient care.

• Communicate with nursing staff regarding schedule updates, open shifts, and staffing needs.

• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding staffing requirements.

• Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, overtime, and schedule adjustments.

• Collaborate with department heads to address staffing concerns and adjust schedules as needed.

• Assist with onboarding and orientation of new staff regarding scheduling policies.

• Utilize scheduling software to streamline scheduling processes and maintain accuracy.

• Address employee concerns regarding scheduling conflicts in a professional and timely manner.

• Support management with reports on staffing trends, overtime, and compliance issues.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in scheduling, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Understanding of staffing regulations in a nursing home setting is a plus.
