As a Kennel Assistant, you will be working to care for our pets which may have been boarded due to observation, medical emergency, or family travel. This care includes but is not limited to:
- Walking the animals
- Feeding the animals
- Providing medications to the animals
- Cleaning the animals’ crates and carriers
- Laundering any dirty bedding, blankets, etc.
- Observing the animals’ behavior such as appetite and activity level
Who we need for this role:
A successful candidate will need to be able to clearly communicate with their team and feel comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. They should also be able to handle stressful situations with professionalism and team-player attitude. Your willingness to learn, go the extra mile, and help your team will only help you to be more successful with Bradford Veterinary Clinic. Lastly, you must obviously love animals to work with BVC! When observing animals and helping to care for them, you are a part of their voice!
You can expect to work approximately 6-12 hours on weekends as you transition into your new role. At this time, we need a flexible candidate or candidates who can care for the animals from 6am-8am, 12-2pm, and 7-9pm on weekends.
