Position Summary
The Security Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's security operations, including the implementation and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and technologies. This role ensures the protection of Bradley’s information systems, networks, and data from security threats and vulnerabilities. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of cybersecurity practices, and experience in managing security operations.
Essential Functions
- Develop, implement, and manage security operations policies and procedures to safeguard Bradley's information systems and data.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the security team, ensuring that security protocols and practices are followed consistently across the organization.
- Monitor and analyze security threats and vulnerabilities, including conducting regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans.
- Coordinate and manage the response to security incidents, including identifying, containing, and mitigating threats and breaches.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security regulations and standards, including industry best practices and legal requirements.
- Manage and configure security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
- Develop and deliver security awareness training for staff, promoting best practices and raising awareness about potential security risks.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate security measures into Bradley’s technology infrastructure and business processes.
- Prepare and present regular reports on security operations, including incident summaries, risk assessments, and compliance status, to senior management.
- Stay informed about emerging security threats, trends, and technologies, recommending and implementing updates to security strategies and tools as needed.
- Lead and participate in security audits and assessments, ensuring that security controls are effective and that any findings are addressed promptly.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and security partners, including negotiating contracts and overseeing service delivery.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA is highly desirable.
Experience:
- At least 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity, security operations, or a related field, with a proven track record of managing security operations and responding to security incidents. Experience in a managerial or leadership role is preferred.
Skills
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies, including network security, threat detection, and incident response.
- Experience with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a security team effectively.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess security risks and implement appropriate solutions.
