Bradley Professional is currently seeking a Mig Welding Supervisor for a great company in Lexington!
The Mig Welding Supervisor is responsible for leading the Mig Welding
department and ensuring all processes and products consistently meet company
standards. Specifically, this includes meeting quality, safety, and production goals
along with working with employees to maximize their potential and help them
meet and exceed expectations.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Schedule the production of the department based on customer lead times, machine capacity and personnel within the department.
- Works closely withthe Mig Lead person to coordinate the set-up of each job to ensure safe and efficient set-ups and meeting production goals.
- Work with staff to properly fill out any production documentation in a timely manner and monitor their progress to verify compliance. This includes quality checklists, production logs, count / production efficiency sheets, and any production data that needs to be entered into the computer. and how to keep up with their production efficiency throughout the shift.
- Follow all quality procedures for each job completed in the MIG department.
- The supervisor will be responsible for initiating both the production and
- quality processes for all manufacturing activities in their department.
- Trains all operators how to use the PDC system for inputting production and
- recording hours of production. Monitor daily to make sure the operators are
- properly inputting the information and review efficiency reports daily to
- correct any issues that might have been made in time and production input.
- Maintains all jigs / fixtures used to manufacture the parts in an organized
- and orderly manner and verify they are being inventoried and can be
- retrieved when jobs repeat.
- Works with the Plant Manager and Quality Supervisor on any quality issues
- that may arise. The Mig Supervisor should be the driving force in making
- sure that what solution is made is handled and followed through to
- completion of getting the parts correct and ready to go to the next process.
- Work with Inventory and MIG Lead to verify all items coming into and
- leaving the Mig Department have accurate counts and that each item is
- being moved by following all inventory movement procedures. This is very
- important for the accuracy of both the manufacturing and inventory
- processes.
- Work with Manufacturing Quality Assurance & Improvement Supervisor on
- incorporating new technology and ideas into the Mig Welding process.
- Ensures all safety practices in the mig area are being followed and the entire
- team is focused on maintaining an accident-free work area.
- Must train all staff to follow the SQUARED AWAY (Safety, Quality, Urgency,
- Attitude, Respect, Expectations and Details) mentality each and every day.
- Such other duties as are assigned from time to time.
