The Role:  

In this particular role, the selected candidate will be helping us to build out the Quantitative Insight capabilities for our Brado team. We currently work with a talented team of partners on this work but will be bringing the work in-house for 2025. Ideal candidates for this role will live in the St. Louis, MO area. While our day-to-day work is done remotely, our teams gather in person for intentional work.

Position Summary 

The Quantitative Insight Vice President is responsible for seeing a bigger Brado picture and the way in which Insight serves Brado’s greater purpose. They are responsible for client success, which includes understanding unmet needs and determining what is needed now and, in the future, to deliver against excellence, including designing, supporting, and driving innovation. 

The Quantitative Insight Vice President effectively executes projects, serving as a subject matter expert working with another Quant or Qual Strategist or as a solo Strategist. They ensure Brado delivers success on the current project as well as builds a deep, sustaining relationship with the client.  They mentor strategists, helping them move from research to strategy. They innovate the research processes and train others on frameworks, constructs, tools, and approaches to deepen Brado’s strategic expertise. They possess deep domain expertise (e.g., oncology, medical device, vaccines, etc.) that they infuse in projects and distill throughout the organization.. 

 

Key Areas of Responsibility  

Projects:

o    Accountable for ensuring all aspects of the project are delivered on time and against client objectives.

o    Consistently thinks proactively throughout the project to anticipate and quickly address changes to approach, design, objectives, etc. 

o    Fully designs studies and writes effective proposals.

o    Thoughtfully crafts questionnaires / discussion guides with appropriate techniques and activities, and structures of questions that better address objectives and fit with participant type.

o    Develops analytics plans appropriate for the scope of work and has a working knowledge of advanced analytics for interpretation.

o    Creatively and quickly connect the dots, identifying emerging themes and how they connect to the bigger story.

o    Consistently incorporates strategic elements into the report including the story flow, emerging implications (so-what), and recommendations (now-what).

o    Appropriately adds visual elements to communicate the story, ensuring the data story comes to life.

o    Consistently leverages and trains others to utilize client / industry knowledge and external frameworks (e.g., Michael Porter's Five Forces, The Habit Loop), anecdotes (i.e., metaphor and story), constructs, macro and micro-trends, psychological understanding to elevate the strategy.

o    Writes succinctly, to the audience, with clarity, conviction, and tension as well as polish and professionalism. 

Client Relationships:

o    Commands a confident, captivating, respectful, agile, consultative presence when engaging with the client.

o    Develops rapport and builds empathy for and with the client, leading to long-term relationships.

o    Develops and continually deepens understanding of the client's business and the individual client, asking the right questions, and anticipating their needs.

o    Proactively addresses issues or opportunities in their business, including further research or strategy work.

o    Seen as an expert in the client's category and in research/strategy.

o    Clearly explains advanced analytic techniques to clients.

o    Stays calm and collected even with difficult clients and helps the team to do the same.

 

Insight Department Leadership

o    Must be able to successfully lead any Brado project — regardless of process, methodology, or category.

o    Successfully represents Brado in external facing settings (e.g., conferences, new business presentations or networking events).

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Deep expertise in segmentation, MaxDiff and TURF analysis
  • 15 years of experience moderating and strategic market research
  • Willingness to travel and be flexible in scheduling to accommodate project needs
