Job Description: Legal Office Assistant
**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Legal Office Assistant to support our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our office and providing excellent support to our legal staff.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Bank Runs and Errands: Conduct bank transactions, deliver documents, and complete various errands as needed to support legal operations.
- Schedule Monitoring: Assist in managing and monitoring schedules for attorneys, ensuring appointments, court dates, and meetings are organized and up to date.
- File Management: Close files accurately and efficiently, ensuring all necessary documentation is included and properly archived.
- Reception Support: Provide backup support to the reception area, greeting clients, answering phone calls, and directing inquiries appropriately.
- Supplies Management: Monitor office supplies and inventory levels, placing orders as needed to ensure the office is well-stocked.
- Filing and Organization: Maintain and organize physical and electronic filing systems, ensuring documents are easily accessible and up to date.
- Additional Duties: Assist with various administrative tasks as assigned, including data entry, document preparation, and research as required by the legal team.
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in a legal office or administrative role is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable with legal software.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for errands.
