Brady Ware Dealership Advisors is looking to fill a Controller position for one of our clients. The Controller maintains an adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, ensure the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and maximize profit. In addition, the Controller will supervise the daily accounting operations to ensure efficient cash management, a smooth flow of all transactions, clean accounting records, and recording of all transactions in compliance with the company’s accounting processes and internal controls. The Controller is also tasked with developing periodic financial reports that comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making.
- Financial Reporting: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Audit Coordination: Facilitate internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing issues as they arise.
- Tax Compliance: Manage all tax-related matters, ensuring timely filing and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement effective accounting procedures and policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in an accounting role, with at least [Y years] in a supervisory position, preferably within the automotive or RV industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage), Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools.

- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and management.
